This dynamic training focuses on the role of the Product Owner and prepares learners to sit for the SCRUM Study certification exam. The Product Owner represents the voice of the customer and is in charge of making sure business value and needs are effectively communicated to the Scrum Team. They define requirements and guarantee they are met. The Product Owner’s vision is twofold; they must hold the interests of the stake holders equal to those of the Scrum Team. Training participants are awarded the Scrum Product Owner Certified (SPOC®) certificate upon successfully passing their certification exam. Learning Objectives • Differentiate between traditional project management and Agile approaches. • Define the role, responsibilities, and characteristics of an effective Product Owner. • Distinguish the Product Owner role from other roles in Agile (Scrum Master, Development Team). • Prioritize and refine backlog items based on value, risk, and dependencies. • Manage backlog items using techniques like user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria. • Identify key stakeholders and manage and prioritize stakeholder feedback and requirements. • Implement effective review and retrospective techniques, and apply Agile practices to mitigate and manage risks as a product owner.
