What Is the New Moon Reset for Leaders?

If someone asked me to describe the New Moon Reset for Leaders in just a few sentences, I’d say this:

It’s a monthly two-hour workshop where we come together to pause, get grounded, move our bodies, reflect intentionally, and leave with a plan you can actually follow. It’s a reset point (built right into each month by nature!) to help you feel calmer, clearer, and more capable of taking your next step as a leader.

The Transformation You Can Expect Each Month

Every session begins with a self-assessment. I’ll ask you to check in with yourself, emotionally and physically, and notice how you’re arriving in the space. When we do the same check-in at the end, my hope is that you feel:

  • more grounded

  • calmer

  • more at ease

  • less anxious

There’s a real emotional transformation that happens when you give your nervous system what it needs: time, movement, breath, and reflection.

And that emotional shift matters. When you feel calmer and more grounded, your executive functioning opens up your creativity, your innovation, your problem-solving, your decision-making. These are the things leaders rely on every single day!

There’s also a second transformation I want you to experience: moving from freeze into action.

When you’re working on something big, the overwhelm can push you straight into fight, flight, or freeze. I see it all the time. Leaders who deeply want to make progress end up feeling stuck because the goal feels too heavy or too complex.

This Reset is designed to break that pattern.

No matter how big your project is, I want you to leave knowing exactly what the next step is. Not the whole plan. Just the next step. That one moment of clarity can create a snowball effect where momentum begins, confidence builds, and suddenly you’re moving again.

What Makes This Different from Other Workshops or Classes

In my experience, there’s nothing out there that’s quite like this combination of movement, reflection, and strategic planning. Especially in a professional leadership setting. Here are a few things that make it unique:

1. We move our bodies. Yes, in a leadership workshop!

Most organizational settings have zero physical movement. This alone makes the Reset different.

The movement is gentle and accessible. If you can sit on the floor and stand back up, you can participate. You’re not going to get sweaty. But the intention behind the movement is powerful: to open your brain, regulate your nervous system, and create the physiological conditions for clarity.

2. We use sound intentionally.

Some sessions include simple vocal sounds. Not chanting or singing, just small sounds that hit the top of the palate where nerve endings connect directly to the brain.

It may feel unusual at first, but because you’re at home and everyone is muted, no one hears you but your pets or your partner. I’ll talk you through why we use these sounds and exactly what they’re doing in your body.

3. It’s not a yoga class, not a planning meeting, and not a passive workshop.

Yoga supports the body but doesn’t give you strategic next steps. Planning meetings give you tasks but rarely help you feel emotionally ready to do them. Workshops often leave you inspired but unsure how to apply anything.

The New Moon Reset intentionally blends all three:

  • grounding movement

  • emotional regulation before reflection

  • strategic planning for clarity about next steps

It’s the integration that creates the transformation.

A Look Inside the Virtual Experience

When you log in, you’ll enter a waiting room, and we’ll begin right on time. Before the session, you’ll receive a handout you can print or simply reference on your screen with a blank sheet of paper nearby.

Here’s what you can expect during the session:

  • You’ll have your camera on, but only I can see you.
This allows me to give cues, adjust instructions, and read your facial expressions just like I would if we were in the room together.

  • You’ll be muted the entire time.
All interaction happens through the chat, which keeps the experience focused and calm.

  • The session is highly interactive.
I’ll use a few slides, a handful of polls, and real-time coaching to support the experience.

  • We move through a clear arc:

    • grounding

    • gentle movement

    • reflection

    • planning

    • more movement

    • checkout + closing

We don’t take a formal break, but you’re free to step away for a moment if needed.

The virtual setup actually enhances certain parts of the experience, especially the sound work, because you’re in the privacy of your own space. It also makes the reset more accessible for leaders with full schedules.

Coming Up Next: Why We Start with Movement

In the next post, I’ll walk you through the first component of the Reset: movement. Why we start with it, how it primes the brain, and the neuroscience behind it.

If you’re craving more clarity, more groundedness, and a monthly rhythm that helps you lead with intention, I’d love to see you at our first New Moon Reset for Leaders in January.

You deserve a moment each month to come back to yourself!
